Every year, prior to the end of the school year, members of the Ipswich High School Interact Club visit to offer an update on the work they have done and are doing.  The Interact Club will highlight a fundraiser set for later this month.

Lydia Charlotte Brendel is a North Shore based actor, director, and stage manager known for co-founding Castle Hill Productions in Ipswich, MA. She is a graduate of AMDA’s New York conservatory program and Los Angeles BFA program. Backstage credits include International Thespian Society Award Nominee The Door (Director), Massachusetts Thespian Society Award winner Tracks, (Co-Director), Castle Hill Productions Romeo and Juliet (Co-Director) and Arcadia (Props Manager), Boutcher Theater Company’s Red (Stage Manager), and most recently, Player’s Ring Theater’s A Funny Thing… (Stage Manager). Onstage credits include Twelfth Night (Olivia), The Mousetrap (Leslie Casewell), Sense and Sensibility (Lucy Steele), A Bold Stroke for a Husband (Victoria), Twelfth Night (Antonio), Romeo and Juliet (Juliet), and most recently performed in Elsewhere Shakespeare’s festival as Hermia/Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and as Caesar in Julius Caesar.

Annual Luncheon with the Ipswich Council on Aging.  Rotarians & Interact Students will serve lunch to the Seniors. 

Food catered by Henry's Market - Chicken Pot Pie, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Salad & Dessert.  

Lunch fee for Rotarians is $20pp (pre-payment required at registration) 

Jan Lindsay, an Ipswich resident, is a retired school nurse and athletic director, Reiki practitioner, Hospice volunteer and new writer and artist. In her grief, following the death of her husband in 2020, she turned to therapy for help. 
 

As she accumulated tools for healing, she found solace writing and drawing her feelings. She produced a small book of art, “Jan’s Boat” reflecting her journey through grief and some newfound wisdom.

Come and walk for an hour or the full 4 hours. We are raising money to cure cancer. We are celebrating survivors! We are celebrating caregivers (friends, family and healthcare workers)! Invite your friends and family who are survivors and caregivers to walk a lap at the beginning of the Relay for Life. Bring noise-makers, pom poms or anything you'd like to celebrate these survivors!

Thursdy, June 11th, offers Rotary Youth (RYLA, Youth Exchange, Interact) their annual opportunity to share their work, their fun, and their learnings from the year completed.

We will celebrate Flag Day with a ceremony on the Ipswich South Green, 11:30 am to noon.

District Governor Terry Curran visit 

David is currently employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, working in the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities. He has over 15 years of experience working in State and Local government and specializes in real estate and land use policy. David will be speaking on current issues related to housing and approaches taken to encourage right-sized housing production.

Brendan Sweeney serves at Town Manager for Ipswich, MA. Brendan is an Ipswich High School graduated and new to his role as Town Manager. He will share some of his story, his background, his aspirations, and field questions. 

In the wake of this year's Twinning Event, Chris Doctor and Martha Mauser will offer highlights of the week and lead a discussion on the future of this long-standing tradition of Twinning--our hosting and being hosted on a rotating two year basis--with fellow Rotarians from Ipswich, England.

We will gather for wraps for dinner and then assemble 50 birthday bags for Open Door and Newbury Food Pantry to give to families with K-5 kids so that they may host a birthday party for their child. Bags will be filled with cake mix, frosting, candles, table cloth, plates/napkins, party hats, etc.

Join us! We need 14 volunteers for this service project.

Sherry Lin is our Global Scholar from Taiwan. She is studying at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Sherry's scholarship is over a two year period (as opposed to the usual one year) and she has just begun her second year. She joined us last year at the District Peace Dinner. Sherry is also a former Rotary Youth Exchange student.
